Bath Towels

In theory, bath towels should never get dirty. All you use them for is drying yourself after a cleansing shower. And since your body is cleanest after a shower, the towel shouldn't really be seeing a situation of possible dirtying.

So why do they get dirty?

  1. Here's my theroy on this.
The smell is caused by mildew on the wet towel.
Proper washing and drying of the towel every couple of days prevents moisture build up on the towels.
Being wet causes some mildew and moisture build up, which I believe creates the odor.

Think about where that towel is going when your drying off as well, some 'interesting' areas! lol I wouldn't want to keep reusing that!

Okay I should be working and I'm answering your silly blog post.

    Love you!!

  2. Haha true, but when we hang them, don't they just dry back off?

  3. if not hung properly (folded, no air flow or windows in bathroom) i still believe towels build up moisture which cause this odor you speak of.

    lol
